Previous work

JANUARY 2021

Called to local creamery which has closed down, to inspect and compile a report of the structural integrity of silos which need transporting to Ireland, Graham Jones crane hire recorded a lift weight of 21.5 tonnes , with the lower lifting points being removed , we now need to liaise with the AP and project team to fabricate and weld new lifting lugs in the correct locations to allow the safe top and tailing of the vessel for transit.

JANUARY 2021

Pipework inspection, the customer had concerns after seeing visual signs of movement and surface wear to pipe work, so instructed us to carry out a thorough visual, UT, and dye penetrant testing to determine pipe condition and possible areas of concern. With over 1300 mtrs of stainless pipework to inspect, this is quite a task , so far out findings have discovered due to the design of the system and incorrect bracketry hydraulic shock has damaged on number of critical areas , causing premature wear up to 40% of original material thickness , bracketry to snap, pipework to distort and cause the potential for catastrophic failure , following a full and in depth report a plan of rectification work will be supplied and the necessary work will be carried out.

JANUARY 2021

Installation of hot water wash down pipe work, in a roof void at a renowned Welsh cheese manufacturer, Grade 316l has been used due to reaction of manganese in the water supply attacking the stainless after heating.

DECEMBER 2020

Vessel repair, quite a technically challenging job due to the gases involved in the process, Ozone gas in even the smallest off doses can be fatal, forced air ventilation and fume extraction along with escape sets and continuous monitoring of the gas levels, all welds needing to be polished to a smooth finish due to the pharmaceutical quality of the sterile solution.

DECEMBER 2020

Internal and external vessel inspection , dye penetrant internal and visual external , during manufacturing procces the vessels external welds where cleaned with contaminated abrasives, leading to iron deposits left on the surface attacking the passive layer of the stainless steel, The affected areas where cleaned with new abrasive mops and will be monitored for any further corrosion, The areas may need to be repassivated to regain its corrosion resistance.

DECEMBER 2020

Inspection of pipework integrity and support bracketry, attenuation can lead to the premature failure of welds and the mechanical integrity of the pipe wall , with green energy generation being in such high demand preventative maintenance is critical within this field.

DECEMBER 2020

Something a little different, design fabrication and installation of access systems for council property's for people with reduced mobility.

NOVEMBER 2020

Various parts going out to a local craft lager brewery, a rebuilt steam generator manifold , Hygienic probe points with tri-clove ferrules and a new stainless steel cyclonic separator supplied by TLV

NOVEMBER 2020

Some maintenance and improvements at a private Shropshire college, a macerator installation in the kitchen area and a stainless steel handrail to assist those with difficulties walking negotiate the steps.

NOVEMBER 2020

A breakdown at a local Welsh bakery , chain failure causing the chain tensioner to break into numerous pieces halting production, the plant was up and running within a few hours, further repairs carried out and the wise decision made to overhaul and carry out PMs on other mechanical machines.

NOVEMBER 2020

Instalation of effluent treatment system , with relocation of mono pumps to allow better access for maintenance and fabrication of flocculant dosing system pipework.

OCTOBER 2020

Cheese vat inspections and repairs at a major Welsh cheese manufacturer, carried out by qualified confined space engineers and level 2 NDT inspector.
